God Bless Dr. Frank
I only knew Professor Frank from May 4 events in the ‘70s. But every time I hear the tape of him on May 4, I cry because I know without his plea, we would not now be talking about 4 dead, we would talking about so many that we would not even be able to recall their names. It is because of Professor Frank that we can remember Sandra, Allison, Jeff and Bill as individuals, rather than the first of 60, 70 or 100 murder victims.

What an amazing man Professor Frank must have been. He saved an unknown number of young lives

Best KSU Prof
For no particular I enrolled in the entry level geology sequence as a freshman in the fall of 1969.  I immediately found Dr Franks luctures were amazing as were the labs with grad students.  I grew to appreciate the sequence that built second quarter on first, then third Q on the second.  Among the losses so many suffered 50 years ago today was my loss of the second half of third quarter.  No more Dr Frank lectures, no labs, no satisfaction to fully complete the sequence.  But, to this day I have a tendency to look at rock formations in road cuts, to pick up rocks and look for minersls, and just appreciate the forces of nature and the eons that created our mountains and hills.  I still have a box of rocks collected on a Dr Frank field trip.  Without a doubt, Dr Frank is my favorite and best teacher of my KSU education.
