The Documents

"Whether evidence is adequate to support a particular point of view often rests primarily in the mind of the beholder. However, the record shows quite clearly that even official investigations and the published conclusions have resulted in misleading, inaccurate and biased comments. Unfortunately, some of this material has been published with innuendos which have been accepted by a large segment of the population. Perceptions are as true as facts to the individual."

"I am not sure whether this material is non-fiction or fiction, but the sequence of events, the tragedy and the aftermath is certainly fact and a part of the history of our nation. Because of the absence of honest answers to honest questions however we are sometimes confronted with speculation that may plunge into the realm of fiction."

Excerpt from Anatomy of a Tragedy introduction

These documents comprise a good deal of the research done by Glenn Frank after the shooting on May 4, 1970 up to the time of his death 23 years later. He never wavered in his search for the truth wherever it might take him. It seems rather extraordinary that Glenn was able to obtain documents from attorneys, local police, state police, and federal government agencies. His ability to take all the disparate elements that emerged from those documents and develop a narrative speaks to his nature as a trained scientist. Some of the information found in these documents maybe quite shocking to you when read 50 years later. To many of us it seems like only yesterday.
