
In 1951 Glenn enrolled at Kent State University, earning his undergraduate degree in Geology on the GI Bill. Frank earned a Master of Science degree from both the University of Maine in 1953 and Western Reserve University in Cleveland in 1963. He accepted a temporary teaching assignment at his Alma Mater, a tenure that stretched 31 years. In 1969 he was honored with the Distinguished Teaching Award. Other honors came in his field of Geology. In 1975 he was elected Franklin Township, Ohio Trustee which he served until 1991.
Frank retired from teaching (1953-1984) but continued his research for the answers to those 13 seconds on the Kent State commons that had changed his life. His search continued until his death from cancer on August 25, 1993.
